Scanex
A Flutter app that scans optical answer sheets with a phone camera.
Scanex lets a teacher generate an A4 answer sheet inside the app. After students fill in the sheets, they can be scanned with a phone camera and graded directly on the device.
The app supports answer sheets with 10 to 20 questions and five choices per question.
I wrote the OMR algorithm in Dart and process the image directly at pixel level, without sending it to an external image-processing service.
A nine-digit student number is read from a bubble grid, while handwritten names are recognised with Google ML Kit.
Results are stored locally in SQLite and can be exported per exam as .xlsx
files.
