OCPP & CAN Bus Security
A security study of communication layers used by electric vehicle charging stations.
Electric vehicle charging stations commonly use OCPP to communicate with backend systems and CAN Bus for communication with vehicles and internal hardware. In this team project, we examined security issues across both layers.
We defined and simulated ten attack scenarios. For each one, we documented how the attack worked, its possible effects and potential mitigations.
